…Why their english titles are so weird ?

With Korean Movies, you’ll notice english titles are most of the time really strange, it sounds corny or even stupid when in fact the movie can be good ! And i’m not saying all korean movies are good because they have a weird english title, but you must admit having a bad title isn’t the best way to attract people. Examples ? My Sassy Girl, The King and the Clown… You like it ?

Capcom and Kinji Fukasaku…

… for the game “Clock Tower 3″…

Few months before Kinji Fukasaku’s death, the old japanese director, most known for Battle Royale (and god knowns he made a lot of masterpiece in the 60’s/70’s), shot a commercial and some cinematical sequences for a game (Clock Tower 3). Here is the making-of and the final version. Quite surprising to discover Kinji Fukasaku in something like that, it was maybe a funny challenge. I don’t know if the game is good or not, but it still cool to see Fukasaku !

This movie isn’t a banal horror movie, it can seems cheap, but don’t forget how amazing it has been filmed, with light which show real horror on actor’s face, special effects that make horror real. And a lots of others awesome ideas. As Bruce Campbell once said, “if you don’t need it, you have it, and if you need it, you haven’t it !” In a word, watch it.

Another ultra violent flick from the 70s ! A long long time before Goodfellas (90, Scorsese), Mafia guys were already cool but violents. Not great talkers but…hum, effectives. If a traitor talks too much, no big deal, send two executioners terminate the job ! They’ll be happy to kill everything that moves ! Only with a mere gun, they can kill everybody, they’re professionals. And in the trailer you can see how good they are ! Because, this trailer, it’s 2min18 of non-stop killing with no dialogue ! So okay, it’s violent, but listen to the music, it’s an absurd catchy song ! It means, they’re cool professionals ! They kill with passion and they don’t care. Enjoy this trailer, i’m not sure i’ll find another one like that ! Cool, funny and so violent ! Ahaha !

This Western is ultra violent, but really (70s style). Here, you won’t see The Searchers (1956, John Ford), no Monument Valley crap, just blood and violence, that’s it ! What do you think ? The Far West isn’t a paradise, a man wants to kill you and your family, okay, no problem, done ! If you survive and you want to revenge ? Okay ! You can, take your guns and go look for this bastard ! This is a basic story of an italian western, make cow boys dirties and miserables. And you may know that those movies were shot in Spain, so that’s maybe why spanish wanted to do also theirs westerns ! And when they did it, they did it dirtier and bloodier than EVER ! You thought spanish were cool ? That’s a LIE, they are dangerous, no serious, look Cut-Throats Nine. Each throats is cut ! A guy wanted to go see his wife, and on the way, his life has been ruined by a psychopath who has cut him his throat ! As one said, the wrong guy at the wrong place ! Too bad ? You got the idea, this is a badass spanish western with no morality, only blood speaks ! Protect your throat !
